House immediately felt bad. Would he ever get anything right in this relationship? Even when he didn't mean to, he always wound up treating Wilson like shit, making him feel bad, causing him to storm out and slam doors and lock himself in rooms. House didn't deserve him. He was a miserable, drug-addicted cripple, and he made Wilson feel bad, and he didn't deserve to be happy with him, or with anyone.

And yet, part of him was pleased that Wilson had gone to all this trouble for him. It was unexpected, maybe he would have preferred to discuss it a bit first, talk about what would feel good, and more importantly, how to accomplish such pleasures. But he hadn't been asking Wilson to leave, he just...was really and truly surprised. House reached for his cane again, and made his way over to the bathroom door. Knocking gently, he called out, "James? Hey, come on, let me in, Wilson. I want to see you."
